When I first saw the house, I could see the potential to make it a real family home, and after almost 30 years here, that’s exactly what it became. The space and layout have suited family life particularly well, with the lounge opening onto the garden and the kitchen/dining area naturally becoming somewhere everyone gathers.
The main bedroom holds especially fond memories for me, as it was where two of my three children spent their earliest days.
In summer, we’ve loved having family and friends over, making the most of the garden, patio and covered decked area for BBQs and spending time together.
What I’ll perhaps miss most, though, is the people around us. We’ve always had pleasant neighbours and there’s a real friendliness between everyone. After nearly 30 years, that’s something I certainly won’t take for granted.
